Hair removal using sugar was pioneered by the ancient Egyptians and it one of the oldest forms of hair removal. It is said in some Egyptian hieroglyphs that the Pharaoh would have his servants use this form of hair removal on his body. Hair on the body in those days was considered, by the upper class to be unclean. During the reign of the Turkish Empire and the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt and Greece, the removal of body hair with sugar paste was considered an art.
Why Sugar?
The sugar paste is made from all natural ingredients, including real sugar, honey and lemon juice, which provides effective hair removal. It is gentle on even the most sensitive skin types and contains absolutely no chemicals, resins, bees wax, or by-products and has not been tested on animals.
Sugar Free Sanitation!
Sugar hair removal is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. Sugar paste is applied with a gloved hand, and a fresh ball of sugar paste is used for each client.
Sweet and Gentle:
Sugar will not stick to live skin cells so during hair removal only the dead skin cells are removed. Because of this fact, there is less risk of abrasions, bruising or tearing. Our sugar paste is lukewarm when it is applied, so there is absolutely no risk of burning the skin.
The sugar paste is water soluble and dissolves easily with water.
**Please be aware that any guest using RetinA, Accutane, Differin, or alpha hydroxyl acids on their skin as part of their daily skin care regime are not ideal candidates for sugaring as these products can thin the skin . . Techniques to Sugar:
During your treatment the sugar paste is applied against the natural direction of hair growth, and then removed in the direction of growth.
Stop Shaving!
Hair growth need only be 1/8 inch long to be removed, about 7 - 10 days growth depending on the individual. Being a little fuzzy for almost 2 weeks can be frustrating, but well worth the wait for those who hate shaving and willing to add some sugar to their lives.

This extended service will help you and your brows get on the track (and shape) to natural looking yet beautifully shaped arches. We will give you tips on maintenance in between appointments and steps to re-growth, if needed and of course schedule you in for your next appointment (about 4 or 5 weeks in advance) so your brows don’t take control of you or your tweezers. $25+
